Skyline Service Partners LLC
Sell your business

A permanent home for your business.

For many owners, selling a business means deciding who will become responsible for decades of work. We take that responsibility seriously.

Owners at a turning point

Most of the owners we talk to are in one of these situations. If one sounds like you, we should talk.

No clear successor

The kids went a different direction, and nobody on the team is ready to take over. You want continuity without handing it to a competitor.

Common questions

Straight answers

What happens to my employees?

They keep their jobs. Your team is the reason we want the business. We meet them, learn from them, and keep the pay and benefits they have. Our goal is that the crew feels the same on Monday morning as they did on Friday.

How do you decide what my business is worth?

We look at your financials over the last few years, the strength of your customer base, and how much the business depends on you personally. Then we explain our thinking in plain language. You’ll always know how we arrived at a number.

Do I have to stay on after the sale?

Only if you want to. Some owners leave at closing. Many stay for a few months to introduce us to customers and the team. A few choose to stay involved longer. We build the transition around what works for you.

How long does the whole thing take?

A typical path from first call to closing is 60 to 90 days. If you need more time, we move at your pace. If you need to move quickly, we can do that too.

Is this confidential?

Completely. Nothing about our conversations is shared with your employees, customers, vendors, or competitors. We are happy to sign a confidentiality agreement before you share any details.

What kind of transactions do you do?

We primarily pursue majority or full-company acquisitions, with purchase prices generally between $1.75M and $2.5M. We are flexible regarding transaction structure and owner transition, and we don’t expect every opportunity to fit a rigid formula.

Do I need a broker or an attorney?

You do not need a broker to talk to us. We do recommend having your own attorney and CPA review any agreement, and we’ll gladly work alongside them.

How are you different from private equity?

Private equity firms typically buy with a plan to resell within a predetermined investment period. Skyline does not. Our investment horizon is long term and indefinite, and our goal is to provide a permanent home where the company’s identity, employees and customer relationships continue to thrive.
